MEET THE FOUNDER
Stacy Johnson, CCC-SLP
Stacy Johnson received her B.A. in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Fullerton and her M.S. in Communicative Disorders from University of Redlands. Mrs. Johnson is licensed both with the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and with the state of California. She currently provides speech and language services within the school-based and early intervention/school-aged home-based settings. She has experience working in a private practice clinic and in acute rehabilitation settings. Her areas of strength include working with children from birth to early teens in articulation/phonology, expressive and receptive language, and Autism. She is a certified therapist in the Compton P-ESL Accent Modification Program. She has complete training in Augmentative Alternative Communication from the Southern California Diagnostic Center, and holds current certification in AAC. Mrs. Johnson has received informal training in the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk and More than Words programs, as well as instruction in various picture exchange concepts (both static and dynamic) to increase communication skills. Certification of Training was also obtained through the ComptonP-ESL Accent Modification seminar. Mrs. Johnson also has begun the tiered level training courses with Talk Tools, which was spurred on by her desire to support her younger daughter who is diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Since beginning the Talk Tools training in 2016, Mrs. Johnson has implemented Oral Placement Techniques (OPT) to assist early intervention and school aged children with improving both articulation and oral motor skills.
